VIDEO LIBRARIAN MAGAZINE AND YOU

We love Video Librarian. If that was supposed to be a secret, then it’s one that has been exceedingly poorly kept – many of our films have been reviewed and advertised within its pages. That’s because Video Librarian is “The Video Review Magazine for Libraries,” written by librarians for librarians. And if you don't already, you will learn just how much we love libraries.

While Video Librarian features a lot of higher-profile titles that have aired on PBS and HBO, it is also a great repository of classics yet to be discovered. You can find many niche special-interests titles, some of which don’t even have wide distribution yet. Their mission statement, as given on their website, is to write for those “who are interested in a wider variety of titles than what’s found in the average video store.” They show a lot of love to documentaries in particular, and you can imagine how we feel about that.

The main readers of Video Librarian and similar publications are the librarians directly in charge of purchasing decisions. The critics at VL have collectively reviewed over 25,000 titles – suffice it to say that librarians have come to trust their judgment. Good reviews from them may net you more sales than you could ever have anticipated.
